The Hero of Time. A brilliant youth garbed in green, riding upon a beautiful red steed, and wielding of sword of power that cut through the very fabric of darkness itself and cast a shadow of fear upon even the most fearsome of demons. He came out of nowhere, as if from thin air itself, and he rode, against the terrible evil that was choked the once prominent kingdom of Hyrule and threatened to destroy all those who dwelt in the light. Standing alone, the brave youth fought against the Demon Lord, Ganondorf, using the power bestowed upon him by the Goddesses themselves, a fragment of the legendary Triforce. With it's beautiful golden light, the Hero of Time sought to destroy Ganondorf...however, as if by some cruel joke by the Goddesses...Ganondorf also wielded a fragment of the Triforce within himself.
The battle between these two warriors was one that the land is still in awe from. The power of purity, and holy light, battled against the sheer hatred and darkness of Hell itself. The skies turned black and struck lightning of pure dark energy as the two warriors fought to the very death atop Hyrule Castle.
The battle was long and arduous, but in the end...good triumphed over evil. However, merely vanquishing Ganondorf's mortal body was not enough. No, in order to rid the land of his evil for all eternity, his very soul that was stained with centuries of pure hatred and darkness had to be sealed away, forever.
Using the power bestowed upon him by the Goddesses, the Hero of Time used the Triforce to seal away the darkness of Ganondorf forever. His work done, and the evil vanquished from the land, the Hero of Time vanished once more, never to be seen again...his whereabouts now, are still unknown, but the people of Hyrule will never forget him...he was their savior.
Out of all of them, however, there was one Hylian that truly did know of what happened to the legendary Hero...Princess Zelda. She had been the last one to see the Hero, and it was she who had witnessed him ride away that fateful day...never to be seen again. Despite the fact that she had only briefly known him, however, Princess Zelda still awaited the day that her hero would return.

"This is so dull. I thought that after Link saved us all, that he would stay here...I guess not," Zelda complained to herself, she was lying on her pink blanketed bed inside of Hyrule Castle with her hands behind her head, staring up at the ceiling with a bored expression. She couldn't help but wonder where her green-garbed hero had gone to, the last time she'd seen him was when he'd defeated Ganondorf and that had been over a month ago! She really missed him, a lot. Link had made her life interesting, from the very first time they had met in the gardens of Hyrule Castle when he had snuck inside to help Malon's dad. It had been an interesting day for her, but it had also been the last time she had seen Link...until the day Ganondorf took over.
Zelda pushed the thought of that dark day out of her mind. It was still a vivid and harsh memory of how she had been forced to flee across the endless lands of Hyrule. Forced to watch as they were poisoned by blight and turned into a dark realm of pure hatred and malice, her kingdom had been destroyed right before her eyes, and she was forced to go into hiding and change her identity.
At her darkest moment, however, was when Link returned. It had been seven years since Link had disappeared, and Zelda had given up all hope that he was truly the Hero of Legend...but then he had returned, and he had brought with him something that had been absent in Hyrule for so long that Zelda had forgotten what it felt like...hope.
Now he was gone though, and Zelda's boring life as a Princess was back to the way it had been seven years ago; Dull and uneventful. Zelda always found herself hoping that one day Link might come back, but day after day, her hopes of seeing him again diminished slowly, she had now become certain that she may never see him again. Link was gone...forever.
   Tap! Tap! Tap!

Zelda sat up and gazed over at her window. What was that sound? She stared at the large, arched window curiously, it was covered by thick dark red curtains, so no one could see in on her. Maybe she was just hearing things, or maybe it was just a stray bird or something. Zelda shrugged and lay back down on her bed, she closed her eyes and planned on taking a nap, it had been a long day and she was tired, being a Princess wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
   Tap! Tap! Tap!

Zelda's eyes snapped open once more. What the hell was that?! There was no way that she was just hearing things, it must have been some kind of stupid bird that wanted into her room. The window was open slightly to allow in some fresh air, that bird could easily get in! Zelda quickly stood up and made her way over to the window, she was about to draw back the curtains and close the window, but just as she reached the window, someone whispered through it.
   "Hey, Zelda! Open up!"
Zelda jumped back with shock, there was someone outside her window! She recovered from her initial shock quickly and drew her hidden knife from the secret sheath on her thigh. Whoever was out there was about to end up in a world of hurt. She pressed herself up against the wall next to the window, she then brought her knife up and slipped it between the window and the curtain, then, with a quick flick of her wrist, Zelda flipped the curtain up and swiftly moved in front of the window, pointing her knife at the intruder...but there was no one there.
"Huh? But I could have sworn that I heard someone out here," Zelda muttered to herself with surprise. She lowered her knife and opened the window completely, she then stuck her head out and looked from side to side, but she still saw nothing, how odd. Maybe she had just imagined it?
She shrugged and was about to come back in, and shut her window, but just before she could, she suddenly felt someone's hands on her sides. Zelda let out an involuntary gasp of surprise, and was about to turn around and back hand the hell out of whoever was stupid enough to touch her! However, before she could even finish that thought, the person holding her sides did something so despicable, so evil, so purely demonic that it was worthy of Satan himself! They...tickled her.
"Eeep! Hahahahahahahahaha! Who is thahahahahahahat?! Hahahahahaha! Stohohohohohop!" she giggled and squirmed around, trying her best to break the person's ticklish grip on her sides. Suddenly, Zelda felt her hands start to slip on the windowsill, but she couldn't stop giggling enough to catch herself as her hands slowly crept closer and closer to the edge. Her room was at least eight stories up, so a fall would mean certain death. "Hehehehehehehehey! Stop! I'm slihihihihihipping!"
The person tickling Zelda didn't stop though, they just continued to tickle her senseless. Zelda tried her best to stop her hands from slipping, but the kneading fingers in her sides were driving her insane, and she couldn't concentrate on anything except for giggling uncontrollably. Within a few seconds, Zelda's hands slipped completely off of the windowsill and she tipped forward and began sliding out the window, starting a deadly downward plunge to the dark flagstones far below.
"AAAAAAAH!" she screamed as she plummeted  she expected to plummet to ground far below and go splat, becoming another greasy stain on the cobbles, and her entire life flashed before her eyes, and it was boring! She clenched her eyes shut tight in fear, was this really how her life would end? It had only just begun, and now it was going to end...worst of all...she had never gotten to see Link again.
Just as she thought she was as good as dead, a strong hand grabbed her by the back of her dress suddenly and pulled her through the air with great force, and back through the window quickly. Seconds later, Zelda found herself sitting flat on her butt on the floor, gasping for breath, and holding her thudding heart that was going at least eighty-five miles an hour.
While Zelda was still getting over her trauma, she suddenly heard a crunching sound from over to her right. She looked up and over in the direction of the crunching sound, and to her great surprise, she saw someone completely unexpected. On her bed, there sat a dirty-blonde-haired boy with dark blue eyes that shined with the spirit of a beast. He was around 17, dressed in a green tunic, green hat, brown boots and brown gloves fingerless, leather gauntlets. He was munching on a bright red apple, and had a cheerful smile on his face, beside the bed, leaning up against the wall, was an three foot long purple-hilted sword held within a dark blue, and gold, rune-covered hilt. The blade hummed with power and Zelda could feel it's pure energy from where she sat on the floor six feet away. Instantly she recognized who this boy was, and her heart soared.
"Link?!" she exclaimed with astonishment. Link smiled over at her and waved casually as if he saw her every day. Zelda could only stare at him for a moment, with a mixture of emotions going through her. Happiness, anger, confusion, and annoyance. He had the nerve to run off for a month, and not even send a single letter, and then he just showed back up here unannounced?! Well, not on her watch! She got to her feet quickly and gave him a withering glare, she couldn't just tell him exactly what she was thinking, but she could, however, hide her anger at him for leaving, with her anger at him for something else that he had done. "Was that you just now?! Whispering in my window and tickling me?! You could've killed me!"
Link looked offended by Zelda's accusation. "Who, me? Of course not! I would never do something like that!" Link assured Zelda, he then promptly took another bite of his apple and gave her an innocent look, but Zelda didn't buy his innocent act for a second, she folded her arms across her chest and smirked at him. She knew how to play his little game.
"Yeah right, Link. You always enjoyed tickling me!" she teased, still smirking at him. Link's face suddenly turned a little red, and he looked away nervously.
"Well, um...it was just a joke, Zelda. I didn't mean for you to fall," he said sullenly. Zelda smiled and took pity on him, she knew he wasn't very good with people, poor guy. He'd only been joking around and he had saved her...even though he was the one that put her in danger in the first place, she decided to overlook that though...for now.
"Well, Link, I have been bored without you around," she admitted. She walked over to the bed and sat down with Link, he smiled at her and finished his apple, he then tossed the core out the window, a few seconds later there was a shout of pain from bellow.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL?! APPLES FROM THE SKY?! IT'S THE END OF EVERYTHING! AAAAAAH!" yelled a guard down bellow, the apple core had hit him in the head, Zelda put her hands over mouth and tried not to laugh, but she couldn't help it, mainly because Link was already laughing, she soon found herself laughing alongside him, just like old times....

A few minutes of hysterical laughter at the guard's expense later....

They finally stopped laughing at the poor guard who'd taken an apple core to the head and was probably hiding in an end of the world bunker somewhere, they both lay on the bed together with their heads together looking up at the ceiling.

"Haha! That was funny eh, Zelda?" Link asked and looked over at his still giggling friend, she was always pretty when she laughed.

"Hahaha! Yep sure was! Just like old times, huh?" she answered with a smile, Link suddenly remembered something from old times, he propped himself up on his elbows and found himself gazing down at Zelda's cute princess feet, they still the most adorable feet he'd ever seen, they were small, a size seven if he remembered correctly, they were tinted slightly pink, and her toes were perfectly rounded and cute, her toenails were painted with a sparkly pink nail polish that shimmered in a pretty way, they each had cute little golden Triforce designs on them, suddenly Link heard Zelda giggle, he looked over at her and found that she was smiling up at him deviously.

"I see you haven't changed a bit Link" she teased and wiggled her toes cutely, Link felt his face grow hot, but he smiled back at Zelda and shrugged.

"Well, you do have the cutest feet in all of Hyrule, even cuter than the coocoo girl's and Malon's" he complimented her, Zelda rolled her eyes at him and smiled.

"Aww! Thanks Link!...I think, but hey, it's been a while since I had a nice footrub and being a princess is killer on my poor wittle feet..." she said, she gave Link the puppy dog eyes and wiggled her toes again for emphasis, Link smiled at her.

"Oh, are you asking me to rub your feet, princess?" Link asked her jokingly, he stood up and gave her a respectful bow. "I am truly unworthy of such an honor"

"Shut up!" she giggled and pushed his stomach with her, Link smiled down at her cute foot, suddenly getting an evil idea, quickly he grabbed her ankle and then held her foot still, he then began to quickly tickle her toes with his free hand, Zelda's cute little princess toes were so soft and warm, they immediately scrunched up in defense against the tickling and Zelda immediately reacted with intense laughter.

"AAAAHAHAHAHA! QUIT! QUIHIHIHHIHIHIT! HEHEHEHEHEHE! LIHIHIHIHIHIHINK! NO! NO! NO! NOHOHOHOHO! RUB THEM! NO TICKLING! PLEHEHEHEHEASE! HAHAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!" Zelda laughed hysterically and wiggled around on her bed and tried to pull her foot out of his grasp, but Link was really strong, plus he didn't wanna let go, he enjoyed tickling Zelda, he grinned evilly and moved his tickling fingers away from her toes and down to her heel, she squealed and started laughing louder. "NOOOOOOHOHOHOHOHO! NOT THERE! HEHEHEHEHEHE! LINK! STOHOHOHOP! PLEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEASE! THAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAT TIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHICKLES!"

"Wow Zelda! Still just as ticklish as ever huh? And your foot's still so soft and warm!" Link teased his laughing friend, she was beginning to turn bright red, so he decided to tickle her a little softer.

"Hehehehe! Link quit! Hahahahahahaha! It tickles! Plehehehehehease! Stohohohohohohohohohop! Rub thehehehehehehem!" she giggled and pleaded with him, Link smiled at her sympathetically.

"All right, Zelda, I guess you've had enough"

Link let go of her ankle and she immediately jerked her foot away from him and started trying to catch her breath.

"Oh thank goodness! *Pant*" she said, catching her breath.

Link sat down at the end of the bed and waited patiently for her to catch her breath again, once she could finally breathe again, she sat up and gave him a pouty face, her pretty blue eyes full of sadness.

"What?" he asked her curiously, she didn't answer him though, she just sighed and looked away with that same pouty face. "Zelda what is it?"

Link was about to tickle her sides to get her to answer him, suddenly, he felt something in his lap, he looked down and saw Zelda's feet resting in there, he instantly knew why she was angry with him. "Ooooooh! I get it!" he said with a sly smile. "Your mad at me cause I didn't rub your feet eh, princess? Well don't worry I'll get right to it"

Link smiled and started to rub her cute princess toes happily, Zelda started to giggle quietly, but she was smiling happily while she did so, so that was a good sign.

"Hehehehe! That tickles, Link!" she giggled but she didn't pull her foot away she just wiggled her toes a little and giggled.

"Wow, you really are super ticklish, and your toes are super soft, do you get pedicures or something?" he asked her curiously, starting to rub in between her toes.

"Eeep! Nohohoho! I'm too ticklihihihihish!" she answered through her giggles.

"Really? Well it's a good thing that I came along to rub your feet, huh?" he said with a smile, he then began to rub her arches, Zelda got a relaxed smile on her face and stopped giggling almost instantly.

"Ooooooo! Now that doesn't tickle....mmmmm" she sighed happily and lay back on her pillow, closing her eyes and enjoying her footrub.

"Well, I'm glad your enjoying yourself Zelda" Link said with a smile of his own, he was really enjoying his time with Zelda, he finished with her right foot and moved onto her left foot, repeating the process that he'd done with her right foot, helping his pretty princess friend relax. He rubbed her foot for about an hour or so, moving from her right foot to her left again and again, Zelda had slowly drifted off to sleep while he did so and by the time he'd finished rubbing her feet, she was fast asleep with a cute, sleepy smile on her face, Link stood up and stretched, he was about to leave, since he thought Zelda was asleep, but just as he started for the door a tap on his shoulder told him that she was indeed awake, he turned around and looked down at his pretty friend who smiled back up at him happily.

"Thanks for rubbing my feet, Link! They feel soooooooo much better now!" she said gratefully, she sat up from her bed and gave him a big hug, causing the young hero to blush a lot, he smiled and hugged her back, enjoying her warm embrace.

"No problem Zelda, I'll be happy to do it again for you if you want, I enjoy spending time with you" he said happily.

"Hey Link," she whispered in his ear.

"Yeah?" he asked her curiously, suddenly Zelda let go of him and conked him on the head with her fist, very, very hard.

"Ow! What was that for?!" he exclaimed in shock rubbing his head where she'd hit him, Zelda giggled at him and gave him a devious smile.

"For sneaking around outside my window!" she answered.

"But I wasn't sneaking! You took forever to open your window, so I went around, jeez!" he said in a winy voice and continued rub his head.

"Well, next time be more patient!" she scolded him, Link sighed and nodded, he would remember to be more patient the next time he visited Zelda, she gave him a smile and patted his head, then suddenly, she grabbed his sword, shoved into his arms and then got up and started pushing him towards the door. "It's getting late, I'm going to bed! I'll seeya later Link!"

She pushed him out the door and slammed it shut behind him, Link turned around with a look of confusion and shock.

"Uh, well, goodnight, seeya tomorrow, I guess" he said awkwardly, he heard Zelda giggle from the other side of the door.

"Seeya then!" she agreed, Link nodded and turned around awkwardly, slinging his sword back onto his back.

"Well, I guess I better be off! I hear the Malon Ranch had some alien sightings around this time of night! Seeya Zelda!" he said, he then ran down the stairs and out of the castle.

In Zelda's room, she smiled and watched Link run across the drawbridge in the direction of the Malon Ranch.

"That boy is something else, but he's an interesting guy, I've got to admit, I can't wait to see him again tomorrow" she said with a smile and looked down at her bare feet and wiggled her toes happily, thinking of the fun day to come tomorrow with her favorite hero......

it’s funny to think that while link looks 17 he still has the mentality of a 10 year old from being trapped in the temple of time for 7 years
